Simple answers for a simple budget.
How is my data stored?
Your budget is securely synced through your Tillday account and cached locally for offline access. Only members of your shared household can access its budget.
How do I remove my account?
Open Settings and choose Delete account. This permanently removes your account and membership. If you are the only household member, the household budget is deleted too.
Does Tillday connect to my bank?
No bank login is needed. You can enter activity manually or choose a CSV or QIF statement export. Tillday reads the file on your device, skips transactions already imported, and adds only the transactions you confirm.
Which pay cycles are supported?
Tillday supports weekly, fortnightly and monthly pay cycles, with your next payday anchoring each period.
How do I share a budget?
The household owner or admin can create a private invitation code in Settings. Your partner enters it after creating an account. Each code works once and expires after seven days.
Can I use Tillday offline?
Yes. Tillday keeps a local cache so you can view and work with your budget offline, then synchronises changes when your connection returns.
What do Insights show?
Insights compares money in and out for each pay period and provides a 12-month projection based on your current plan.
What if I forget my password?
Choose Forgot password? on the sign-in screen. Tillday will send a secure reset link to the email address on your account.
Can I lock the app?
Yes. Enable app lock in Settings to protect Tillday with Face ID or Touch ID when supported and configured on your iPhone.
How does casual-hours income work?
Choose Casual hours when adding income, enter the hours worked and hourly rate, and Tillday calculates gross earnings. You can optionally add a best-estimate Australian PAYG withholding calculation. Your employer’s payroll remains the authoritative amount.
What does the Tillday widget show?
The Home and Lock Screen widgets can show Available now, Still planned and the current pay period. Supported widget sizes also open Quick Spend directly in Tillday.
What is Not Budgeted?
It is an optional spending bucket for purchases outside your normal plan. These purchases reduce Available now and can be kept separate from Still planned.
Can I use Tillday in a browser?
Yes. Choose Web app or Log in from this site to manage the same securely synced household budget, review activity, import statements and explore Insights.
